The project will show how the community can plant trees and shrubs to mitigate storm water runoff, educate the community on trees' services, and provide ongoing education for many years. Located on the grounds of the Charles R. Drew Elementary School, teachers will incorporate science and environmental education as well as providing public access to parts of the orchard. We have been told that at one time Green Valley had many fruit trees providing food for the residents.Come plant a fruit tree in Our New Orchard.
