Urban forests have been a focus for federal research and state forestry assistance since the early 1980s, leveraging public resources to support healthy trees and forest cover. In this US Forest Service sponsored webinar, work by California’s Urban Forest Ecosystems Institute has created a model, long-term partnership with new directions and tools for local governments. The hope is to catalyze replication of the partnership in other states, and application of the tools at a national scale.
